WEST ESSEX HIGHLANDS APPEARS AT PLANNING BOARD WEDNESDAY
Sunday’s fire at Essex Fells Country Club once again revealed how vulnerable this neighborhood is in cases of emergencies. When fire trucks arrived at the scene, it completely closed Oval Road, the only access road into the Highlands development.
Residents were blocked from returning to or leaving their homes. The proposed development will bring nearly 500 new apartments with parking for more than 1000 cars. Imagine the kind of chaos this many more cars would cause if a major catastrophe happens at this proposed development.
