This Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025 at 8 p.m., the PSE&G hearing continues at the Zoning Board. Tune in this week and hear that there’s a better way. At the next Zoning Board meeting, the objector’s experts will show what a real win-win is. Upgrading the substation for our community andmaintaining the park-like setting is possible.
PSE&G plans to renovate its switching station on Prospect Avenue and Mount Pleasant Avenue. A switching station is part of the electrial grid and helps to distribute power to our homes and local businesses. But the current plan involves cutting down over 130 mature trees, including some of the biggest trees in New Jersey. We believe there is a way to update the station while preserving this collection of historic trees.
